Does acupuncture hurt?

No, acupuncture should not hurt. Sometimes there will be prick felt as the needle is being inserted followed by a feeling of heaviness, pressure around the needle. The dull pressure or tingling around the area during the session is a normal part of the acupuncture treatment. Most people are amazed by how relaxed they feel during and after the treatment. This can only occur if the treatment is comfortable and gentle.

Is acupuncture safe?

What are acupuncture needles like?
